What do you get when you combine chocolate and peanuts together? The perfect protein bar! These bars remind me of a candy bars…..and best of all they are good for you! Chocolate Peanut Protein Bars are chock full of protein, healthy fats, and are sugar and gluten-free.

I love to keep a protein bars in my fridge for a quick snack when I just need a bite to eat. They are satisfying and keep you full for a number of hours.
Trim Healthy Mama has a Chocolate Brownie Fix that is absolutely delicious! This bar is a Fuel Pull and I love its chocolate/peanut butter taste. But when my supply is all and I want a protein bar….I make my own.
I do keep my bars in the fridge wrapped in wax paper in a airtight container. When I leave home I put them in a small cooler bag along with any drinks I carry with me.

- Pampered Chef Snack Bar Set #100001
- In a food processor combine Chocolate Whey Protein Powder, Collagen, Oat Fiber, Peanut Flour, sweetener, and gluccie. Pulse a few times to combine ingredients. Add Peanut Butter Extract, MCT oil, 4 1/2 tablespoon water. Turn food processor on for 1-2 minutes. In a bar maker, sprinkle a few peanuts in 10 bar spaces. Divide the whey protein mixture between 10 bar spaces.
- For my snack bar maker..I found a piece of wood in my husband’s shop that fits the space perfectly. I wrapped it in plastic and now I can press the bars much firmer. Press mixture tightly into the bar spaces. Set bars aside. In a microwave, combine sugar-free chocolate chips and butter. Microwave at 10 second intervals, stirring well between each time. Spread a layer over each bar. Refrigerator. 10 bars
- If you use Unflavored Whey Protein Powder… add 1 tablespoon cocoa and 1 tablespoon Peanut Flour instead of 2 tablespoons peanut flour.
I mix the ingredients in my Ninja Food Processor. Mixing it well, until it is crumbly and looks like this.

The mixture will resemble stiff play dough. Take the crumbles and press them into the bar forms. The tighter you press them the harder the bars will be. I did find that the bars with peanuts need to be pressed harder than the ones without.

I sprinkle a few peanuts into each bar cavity. I then pressed the whey protein powder mixture over top the peanuts.
I bought this Pampered Chef Bar Pan when a friend was having a party. I love it. It is handy to make all kinds of bars for lunches, etc. There are multiple bar makers you can find in stores and on Amazon. How many bars this recipe makes will depend on the size of your bar maker.
A time or two the bars got a little tacky/sticky after storing a few days. I dusted the bars lightly with oat fiber. That worked great! But I don’t think these bars will hang around long enough to get tacky!

This looks fabulous!
Any idea how to sub out this: 1 cup THM Choco-Peanut Whey Protein Powder using the unflavored whey protein powder? I imagine needing to mix in cocoa and peanut powder and sweetener….wondering if it’s been tried. Thanks!
I have never tried a substitute for the whey protein powder.
