Savory breakfast oatmeal bowls are making waves as a favorite breakfast. As a young girl the only way we ate oatmeal was sweet, brown sugar and with raisins. This savory bowll has become my new favorite. You can vary the veggies if you would like.
I chose to use bone broth that I had made from roasted beef/venison bones. I roasted the bones, garlic, and onions in the oven. I then placed them in my Istapot and coveredthem with water. I allowed them to slowcook for 3 days in my Instapot. This made wonderfull broth that was full of flavor and set up like jello when it was put itn the fridge.
Add oatmeal and salt. Simmer 5 minutes. Stir in egg whites. Simmer more 2 minutes.
