Acai Bowl, THM E, Sugar-free

Acai Bowl is a a smoothie bowl that had its beginning in Brazil. The star of the bowl is the thick frozen fruit puree featuring the acai berries. The puree is then topped with fresh fruit, nuts, coconut, granola, or whatever you choose.

This bowl of goodness is very filling and is a wonderful protein source with the cottage cheese and whey protein powder. I use Optimized Strawberry Whey Protein Powder which has added leucine for a complete protein.

Since I wanted to keep this acai bowl as a carb source, I used very few items with fat. I have 2 walnut halves, a pinch of chia seeds, a teaspoon coconut, and 1 tablespoon homemade granola on this bowl. The beauty of this bowl is that you can pick and choose which items you prefer.
