Have you ever tried cooking a steak in a cast iron skillet on your stovetop? This is a great alternative to grilling, especially when you have cold temps outside with snow falling like we do.

Cast Iron Skillets heat very evenly and retain their heat for a long time which is needed to give the steak the crispy exterior. I will warn you, though, you will need to clean your stovetop. The oil does sizzle and splatter.
I have a collections of cast iron cookware that I use all the time, including a Griswold 1920’s era Cast Iron Skillet.
