Ingredients

  • Kansas City Steak Seasoning
  • 6- ounce Beef Tenderloin Filet Mignon or a boneless steak
  • 1 tablespoon Avocado Oil
  • Grass-fed Butter
  • cast iron skillet
  • Instant Read Thermometer

Instructions

  1. Make sure your steak is totally thawed. Season the filet on both sides with the seasoning. Heat a skillet over high heat for 4 minutes. The skillet will smoke a bit. Add the oil to the pan. Immediately add the steak to the skillet. It will sizzle and splatter. Cook the steak until it is 5 degrees less the temperature desired. Turn the filet 1 minute before the halfway cooking time. When the desired temperature is reached, removed the filet from the skillet to a plate. Cover with foil for 5-8 minutes. The filet will continue to cook while it is resting. *Add a small pat of butter to the filet when serving. 1 serving.
