Cyber Monday and shopping online!! Have you ever seen affiliate links on blogs and websites and wondered what they are there for and how they work? Let me explain just a bit about them.
Affiliate links are items that a blogger uses and is passing on the information to you. When you buy through their affiliate link they receive a few pennies but your price doesn’t change. These purchases help with the expensive of keeping a blog updated, etc. Affiliate links have been such a blessing to our family.
For example…when you purchase this Proofing Basket Set you are supporting a small business and me by using my affiliate link. I just received this set and I can’t wait to use with my sourdough bread baking.

If you know my love for sewing and custom tailoring you will know why I am featuring these products. When it comes to sewing there is nothing better than having a pattern that works well and these patterns are just wonderful to use.
As a young girl I made my first doll clothes before I went to school. I took a scrap of fabric and hand sewed a cap for my doll. I still remember what the fabric looked like and ho I made it. By my teens I was making all of my dresses and loved to sew. For quite a number of years after I was married I pieced quilts, pillows, ect for my parent’s store, Snyder’s Furniture. In the more recent years I have been custom tailoring men’s suit coats along with my regular sewing.

Strawberries are the first fruits to arrive at roadside stands and in home gardens. These luscious juicy fruits can be used in desserts, salads, smoothies and much more. I just spent some time in Lancaster County, a place well known for produce farms. Just look at these luscious strawberries I picked in a pick-ur-own patch. These berries are huge as you can see by the one I am holding in my hand.
