Creamy Fruit Dip THM-FP

Sweet creamy dip with fresh fruit is a favorite at picnics and potlucks and bananas cut to look like dolphins make this extra special for children. This creamy dip is a FP and can be served with any type of fruit. Bananas, apples, and grapes are THM E and berries are a Fuel Pull.

Strawberry Cream THM-FP

Strawberries herald the spring/summer season as roadsides stands and markets display boxes of crimson fruit. They are the easiest fruit to grow in backyard gardens and produce very well. This dessert is refreshing on warm, summer days and best of all it is a Fuel Pull. Using frozen berries thickens the dessert almost immediately after blending in soften gelatin. I am enjoying more FP desserts to balance out those meals when I just need a bit more protein and something sweet.

Coffee Roasted Beef and Pork THM-S

With Oven, Insta-pot, and Crock Pot Instructions.

Roasted Beef is a comfort food to many people. My late mother-in-law would roast beef and pork together and it was so delicious. We, usually don’t think of coffee as an ingredient in roast beef but the acids in the coffee help to tenderize the meat and make a rich dark broth. I use my own All Purpose Seasoned Salt blend to season the meat but you can use other on-plans Season salts as well. I do think the addition of Smoked Paprika to the All Purpose Seasoned Salt gives a wonderful flavor to the roasted meat.

Sourdough Perogies THM-XO

One of the many traditional German side dishes popular in Lancaster County is homemade egg noodles. I learned the art of noodle making from my Old Order Mennonite grandmother and aunts as they made dishpans of noodles for their large families. The Atlas Noodle Maker I have was a gift from my late mother-in-law. These Perogies are made with sourdough pasta that has been fermented for more than 24 hours. With this recipe you can also make noodles and even Ravioli. Perogies and ravioli are a bit time consuming but we do enjoy them for special occasions.

Banana Muffins THM-E

Early busy mornings call for a quick breakfast and these muffins fill that spot. Spread with just a bit of butter they are delicious with a cup of coffee. These muffins also freeze well if you can get them in the freezer before they are eaten all. I love the new THM Extracts and they are so good in these muffins. The chocolate chips sprinkled on top add something extra and the children love it.

Wilted Spinach Salad THM-FP

Spring—what a wonderful time of the year when everything turns green and begins to grow. One of the first seeds to be planted in my garden are spinach and radish seeds. Spinach is very easy to grow, loves cool weather, and is so tasty in garden salads. This easy to make salad uses just a few ingredients but is big in flavor. I can’t wait to plant my garden but since our new place is further north I haven’t planted yet. Maybe this weekend I can get my early crop out.

No-knead Jalapeno Cheddar Sourdough Bread THM-E

After the busyness of the past few weeks, I got to spend all day in my kitchen doing something I love, Sourdough!! By now most of you all should know that I love to create recipes using sourdough starter. There is something so rewarding about taking flour, water, and salt and creating a warm crusty loaf of bread. Best of all, most of my family enjoys eating the recipes I create. Tonight this bread was served with Southwestern Chicken and Bean Soup for the men and I also made Beefy Cabbage Soup for myself.
