Can I save this Starter?
Sourdough is a fascinating world to get into and I love every minute of it. I decided to let this small container of starter in the fridge for 3 months, unfed, to show how resilient sourdough starter really is. Yesterday morning, I removed it from the fridge. This is what it looked like.
Father’s Day!!
Father’s Day is a special time to remember the men in our lives who have helped to shape us into the people we are today. I am especially thankful for my Heavenly Father who gave me salvation, my earthly father who has given me a goodly Christian heritage, and to my husband, the father of my children who has sacrificed to move to the mission outreach where we are now living. Below I am listing a few of my favorite recipes to make for Father’s Day.

Another wedding in our family!!
I will be unable to answer questions or ship cookbooks and starter from May 29th to June 2nd. All questions/shipping will be answered/shipped Monday June 3rd. This is due to our son Wes’s wedding on June 1th. This is the second wedding for our family in the last 2 months!
We also will be having our first church service for Waymart Mennonite Fellowship, Sunday, June 2nd at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 151 Belmont St Waymart, Pa. Pray for our family as there are many changes taking place and that we will spread the Good News of Jesus wherever we are called.

Mother’s Day is rapidly approaching. Some of us still have our mothers with us and others have many good memories of their mother. I still have my mother but my mother-in-law has gained her heavenly reward. Here is a list of a few of my favorite desserts that I love to make for special occasions. Pasta Salads are always delightful at picnics and carry in dinners. Our family loves any type of salad and seafood, so why not combine the two! Most Seafood Pasta Salads use imitation crab meat but I have chosen to use canned shrimp and crab meat because of all the additives in imitation crab. This salad also reminds me of warm sun, sandy beaches, and ocean waves.
