Mother’s Day is rapidly approaching. An Orchid Terraruim is the perfect gift to create to give to the mother in your life!
To create this teraruim you need a 2 gallon glass jar with lid, potting soil, a mini orchid, 2-3 plants, and moss. I used a Pilea Involucrata Pan Am, Superba Fittonia, a fern, and an orchid in this terraruim. The moss was collected from our property which I used to lay over the potting soil. Most of these items can be bought at a local florist or at Walmart.
The tiny bird bath I purchased at Dollar General Store. They have all kinds of small items such as benches, frogs, bird baths, ect to put in flower gardens. I also used a small piece of drift wood I found along our creek bed to prop the orchid stem. Use your imagination and you may be surpised what you can create.
