Roasted Beef is a comfort food to many people. My late mother-in-law would roast beef and pork together and it was so delicious. We, usually don’t think of coffee as an ingredient in roast beef but the acids in the coffee help to tenderize the meat and make a rich dark broth. I use my own All Purpose Seasoned Salt blend to season the meat but you can use other on-plans Season salts as well. I do think the addition of Smoked Paprika to the All Purpose Seasoned Salt gives a wonderful flavor to the roasted meat.
Early busy mornings call for a quick breakfast and these muffins fill that spot. Spread with just a bit of butter they are delicious with a cup of coffee. These muffins also freeze well if you can get them in the freezer before they are eaten all. I love the new THM Extracts and they are so good in these muffins. The chocolate chips sprinkled on top add something extra and the children love it.
Spring—what a wonderful time of the year when everything turns green and begins to grow. One of the first seeds to be planted in my garden are spinach and radish seeds. Spinach is very easy to grow, loves cool weather, and is so tasty in garden salads. This easy to make salad uses just a few ingredients but is big in flavor. I can’t wait to plant my garden but since our new place is further north I haven’t planted yet. Maybe this weekend I can get my early crop out.
A warm, soft, chewy pretzels is a special treat at our house. they are a favorite to make for a weekend evening meal. These sourdough pretzels can even be made into hard crunchy one. And what’s not to like about that!
After the busyness of the past few weeks, I got to spend all day in my kitchen doing something I love, Sourdough!! By now most of you all should know that I love to create recipes using sourdough starter. There is something so rewarding about taking flour, water, and salt and creating a warm crusty loaf of bread. Best of all, most of my family enjoys eating the recipes I create. Tonight this bread was served with Southwestern Chicken and Bean Soup for the men and I also made Beefy Cabbage Soup for myself.
Spring is in the air and cherry trees are one of the first trees to blossom in our orchard. They always remind me of this delicious baked oatmeal recipe. I use pie cherries but you can also use dark sweet cherries.
This post was created in partnership with Ninja and I received a complimentary product but all opinions in this post are my own.
Coconut cake has been family favorite for many years. I found this cute little 3 cup bundt pan in a houseware store a few weeks ago. It was just the perfect size to fit in my Ninja® Foodi™ Pressure Cooker . This cake is so moist, uses the new THM Coconut Extract, and is topped with a creamy icing with coconut sprinkled on. If you love coconut as much as we do this cake will be a winner in your family, too.
