Sausage Corn Pie with Sourdough Crust THM XO

Mid-summer brings with it luscious ears of sweet corn picked from gardens. Our favorite kinds of sweet corn are bi-colored or yellow since they are sweeter in taste. Sausage Corn Pie is a Pennsylvania Dutch treat I make a few times a year when the sweet corn is ready. It is a hearty one-dish meal that my family thoroughly enjoys. I use a sourdough pie crust for the double crust which has become our favorite.

Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies, THM XO, Sugar-free

Sourdough is a very intriguing world to venture into. Once you have a good reliable sourdough starter you may as well use it in whatever you can. How about Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies? With this recipe I use starter that is in my fridge and has not been fed for some times. It can be called discard or unfed starter. These cookies are so delicious and you wouldn’t even know that sourdough was used in them.

Sourdough Cinnamon Roll THM xo

Do you want a tasty guilt-free cinnamon roll with your morning coffee? Here is a sugar-free sourdough one that I make for special occasions. These are a crossover–meaning they have both carbs and fats in them. I did add yeast to the dough to give the more traditional cinnamon roll taste. The sourdough starter ferments the dough making it “on plan” and the yeast helps with the rise and taste.
